Christmas

We have been SUPER busy lately, hence the lack of blogging. So in order to catch myself up I will posting the cliff's notes version of what we have been up to. And yes I realize it is Feb and I am just barely posting Christmas pictures...



We made the girls matching pj's for their American Girls dolls. Like a lot of people my kids open pajamas on Christmas Eve.

We got the kids a 4-wheeler this year. We finally gave in,or dad finally gave in:) they have been asking for one since this summer.

I LOVE Baylee's face in this picture, I think she's a little excited!!

Ugly Sweaters!!

We held our first annual Ugly Sweater party last week!! I know that they are all the rave this year so we decided to join in the fun. Plus people don't really throw parties around here so we had to liven things up a bit! We had a TON of fun! We set up a little photo area and then we photo-shopped all the pictures. I won't post all of them because we had 16 couples, but I will post my personal favorites:)

We also played the white elephant game and voted on the ugliest sweaters! We had so much fun and laughed the whole night.


Jessica and Matt got a Face/Butt towel in the gift exchange:)


Bo and Gabrielle both picked Snuggies out of the pile. Everybody wanted the Snuggies but they didn't want to break up the pair. Curtis who was like #30 in the game stole one at the very end. Bo and Gabrielle ended up with the Zebra one in the end after stealing it back.



People were fighting over the boa as well, even though Greg looks super cute wearing it he didn't end up with it. Better luck next year Greg.

Ryanne and Ben- These guys moved into our ward the day of the party. I hope that we didn't scare them too bad, but I they came up with some pretty good sweaters last minute:)

Paul and Aimee- Aimee sewed bells all over her sweater and made earrings to match.


Bo and Gabrielle- Bo won second place in the ugliest sweater contest, he was also voted most likely to replace Tiger Woods!

Sean and Mel They won the Ugliest Couple award. Enlarge the photo to get the full effect of his sweater.....yes those are cats playing poker:) It makes you wonder what somebody was thinking when they bought that thing brand new???

We didn't take nearly enough pictures but that seems to be out M.O. Thanks everyone for coming! We can't wait for next year!!!

2 Months

I am FINALLY posting recent pictures of Tate! It's rough being the 4th child. Tate is such a good baby and we all enjoy him. He recently had his two month appointment and we weren't surprised to learn that he is HUGE. He now weighs 14lbs 8oz which puts him in the 97th percentile, he's also in the 95th percentile for his height. We grow em big:) He's already wearing 6-9 mo clothes and size 3 diapers.

He is babbling a lot and smiles all the time now. He especially likes his siblings and the dog. It's so fun to see the kids interact with him.

Thanksgiving

We were able to go to CO for Thanksgiving. It was so fun to be together again, we weren't positive, but as far as we could remember it had been 4 years since we'd all been together. My parents actually moved over a year ago and this was the first time we saw their house.

Because it had been so long since we'd been together we naturally had to take a family pic. Aislyn and Trace weren't being cooperative but what can you do?


Of course we had to go bowling!

My mom bought the kids an Elf on the Shelf. Definitely check these guys out, my kids are OBSESSED with it. Basically you adopt one of Santa's elves and he flies to Santa every night to report on your behavior, then he reappears in a new place every morning. It has been a fun family tradition to start, except for when the kids get up at 5:00 AM to find the elf:)

Viva LasVegas and Phantom

Last weekend we surprised Baylee with a Daddy/Daughter Date to see Phantom of the Opera in Vegas. We have had this in the works since Aug and it was so fun to finally see it all come together. Baylee had NO CLUE about anything. Friday we went out to run some errands as a family, or so she thought:) We pulled up to the airport to drop them off, Baylee and Trace were playing and not really paying attention. Brandt ran to the back of the van and pulled out the camcorder. I told Baylee to turn around because dad had something to tell her. She was so confused, wehn he told her I thought that she was going to cry. I'll try to post her reaction later. So off they went for a weekend of fun. The highlight was of course Phantom, she had never seen the play before but LOVES the movie and the music.

You couldn't take pictures in the theatre but here is a pic of them just after the show.

I hid a new outfit in her suitcase for her to wear as well:)

They also hit alot of the sites while they were down there.

It was SO FUN to surprise her. Brandt and I were like two little kids on Christmas morning when we were driving up to the airport. It may have been even more fun for us to plan it than for her to get to go:)

Tate's Blessing

Two weeks ago we blessed Tate. We were lucky enough to have my parents, Brandt's parents, his brother Jared and his family and Dave and Suanne and their kids come up. But unfortunatley with all of the excitement and company we forgot to take pictures:( SO here is what we got of Tate's blessing.....we didn't even get any of Brandt with Tate becuase all of the pictures we remembered to take were before church and Brandt was at meetings.
