Viva LasVegas and Phantom

Last weekend we surprised Baylee with a Daddy/Daughter Date to see Phantom of the Opera in Vegas. We have had this in the works since Aug and it was so fun to finally see it all come together. Baylee had NO CLUE about anything. Friday we went out to run some errands as a family, or so she thought:) We pulled up to the airport to drop them off, Baylee and Trace were playing and not really paying attention. Brandt ran to the back of the van and pulled out the camcorder. I told Baylee to turn around because dad had something to tell her. She was so confused, wehn he told her I thought that she was going to cry. I'll try to post her reaction later. So off they went for a weekend of fun. The highlight was of course Phantom, she had never seen the play before but LOVES the movie and the music.

You couldn't take pictures in the theatre but here is a pic of them just after the show.

I hid a new outfit in her suitcase for her to wear as well:)

They also hit alot of the sites while they were down there.

It was SO FUN to surprise her. Brandt and I were like two little kids on Christmas morning when we were driving up to the airport. It may have been even more fun for us to plan it than for her to get to go:)

Tate's Blessing

Two weeks ago we blessed Tate. We were lucky enough to have my parents, Brandt's parents, his brother Jared and his family and Dave and Suanne and their kids come up. But unfortunatley with all of the excitement and company we forgot to take pictures:( SO here is what we got of Tate's blessing.....we didn't even get any of Brandt with Tate becuase all of the pictures we remembered to take were before church and Brandt was at meetings.

Aislyn and Tate before church
Grandma Di and Tate

This is out of order but I remembered to take a picture of him all pooped out after everybody had left. I still can't believe I didn't take more pictures:(

Halloween

Here is the gang of trick-or-treaters! We went with a group of friends this year and it was a ton of fun. We did feel like geese herding our gosslings at times.

Baylee, Chloe and Ruby

Trace as Bat-man, Baylee as a gymnist and Aislyn as a princess. Tate HATED his costume so it only last about an hour.

Trace started out as Bat-Man for Halloween. While we were getting things loaded in the car he hopped on his bike for a bit. All good and fun until your cape gets sucked into your bike tire and ripped clean off ya. The cape was trashed, holes everywhere, so he had to settle for his second choice as a power ranger.

Aislyn's Birthday

Aislyn celebrated her 3rd Birthday the end of Oct. Her birthday landed on the same night as our trunk or treat so we had a quick family party:) The poor girl didn't even have time to eat her cake, but she did get lots of candy instead!

I love the fairy wings in all her pictures. It just represents her personality so much right now!

Cooking 101

It has been so much fun having more time with Aislyn now that the older kids are in school. I love the stage that seh is at. She is such a little helper and is constantly making us laugh. The other day she wanted to help me crack the eggs into the brownies. I can't get the pictures to move so they are in the wrong order but here is the play by play of her first egg cracking, along with her cute commentary about the whole thing:)

" I did it!! I told you I was a great maker!"

Look at that toungue sticking out in concentration.
When she dropped the egg in the bowl she said " Oh darn it, it slipped."

" Mommy can I crack the eggs cuz I'm a real good maker."

She also did the funniest thing at dinner last night. It was her turn to say the prayer, so we all had our eyes closed and were listening to her when we hear a big thump, and then it goes silent. We look up to see that Aislyn had fallen right off her chair. She wasn't crying or anything, she was just laying there kind of stunned. So we all start laughing and Brandt just says Amen to close her prayer. Then she pops up and says, " Wait! I'm not done yet, I didn't bless the prophet or the missionaries." It was hilarious:)

Tate

These pictures are already out-dated but here are some shots of our little Tater Tot's 2nd week!

He wasn't so sure about his first bath:)

Tate is seriously such a lug compared to my other kids.

Grandma O came for a few days to help with the kids!
